This is similar to personal training but with a slightly different approach. Corrective Exercise is a holistic kinesiology approach to exercise where we look at how your whole body is functioning, not just the end result in crafting an exercise plan. Using a variety of assessment techniques, it is possible to design a unique, individualized program addressing postural, core, and musculo-skeletal imbalances. Each program also incorporates an individual’s personal goals. Some results of the program include:
- Better posture
- Restoration of functional movement patterns
- Increased strength and tone
- Pain relief
- Improved performance in sports and daily activities
- Weight optimization (achieve a healthy weight)
- Increased energy and overall wellness
No matter what your diet currently looks like, we can help you take steps towards eating a more whole, clean, and nutrient dense diet that’s right for your body. There’s no magical diet that’s perfect for everyone. Some people need more carbs while others do better with more fat or protein. There’s a lot of seemingly conflicting information about what foods really are healthy, which can be very overwhelming as you try to make positive changes. We can help you. After your initial assessment, areas of focus may include:
- Removing toxins and chemicals in your diet
- Carbohydrate – Fat – Protein balance
- Choosing nutrient dense options
- Sourcing and preparing your meals
- Understanding which foods are best for your body
Lifestyle coaching focuses on the bigger picture of your daily life. We will take a realistic approach to helping you find the motivation to create lasting healthy habits. While focusing on a single area such as nutrition can offer benefits to your overall health, when you incorporate all six principles of wellness together the improvement is often much more profound. We consider your health concerns and goals in crafting a plan while helping you understand how your lifestyle choices impact your stress and overall health. Core areas of focus are the six principles of wellness:
